He criticized proposals to bail out Chicago's transit system, arguing they unfairly burden downstate taxpayers with billions in new costs. The conversation also addressed ongoing concerns with the SAFE-T Act, which Weaver said continues to undermine public safety by allowing repeat offenders back onto the streets.
