Representative Zooey Zephyr is the first transgender woman elected to the Montana State Legislature. In April, Montana Republicans blocked her from speaking on the House floor because of comments she made about a Senate Bill 99, which would prohibit transgender minors—and their parents and doctors—from pursuing a range of medical treatments, including hormone therapy, puberty blockers, and gender-affirming surgery. Rep.
