Today I have a SUPER treat! I am joined today by my younger sister Cicely Fleming, Alderwoman of the

9 th Ward in Evanston, Illinois. I have had had an influx of contacts and messages around the reparations

news because Evanston is my hometown. Following my sister’s media, I can imagine just how many calls

and messages that she must receive. I feel honored both, personally and professionally, that she joined

me today to share the real details and her feelings.

At the time of this recording, we were only 4 days prior to the Evanston City council vote on their highly

publicized “Reparations” program. On Monday, March 22, 2021, the day this episode airs, the city

council will be voting in the evening of the fate of the current projected program. I will share the council

meeting live on my Ready Set Free and my personal FB pages if you want to watch or listen in.
