The Lawless Generation of the last days
It is to this generation of the last days to which the believers in Jesus Christ are to be a beacon of light so that those who are lost and desire truth may find freedom through Christ and his Redemption. There is in this day and age the unprecedented uprising against values, morals, and the foundations that once stood upon biblical values. Gone are the days when immoral behavior was seen as what it was, sinful and repugnant. Gone are the days when common decency reigned, as today no decency can be found in many quarters. Gone are the days when men opened the doors of ladies and women were proud to be mothers, wives, and homemakers.
Today we have generations of people who imploded into a mass of what is called the “me generation!” It is about “me” today, “my rights”, “my truth”, and “my world as I see it”. We have rejected truth, even at the highest levels today.
The Nation is not alone for it includes all Nations as we know themWe find a people who have rejected his word, his son, and a world that is in rebellion against him. The Cure and the CurseThose who on judgment day see the Lord will bow the knee and say Lord, Lord. For every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess “Jesus Christ is Lord”! The Lords own words found in Matthew say many will come to me and say “Lord, Lord”. They will tell him all they have done in his name. He will answer them “I never knew you, depart from you who work Iniquity”!
The word ‘iniquity’ is the Greek word ‘anomia’, meaning lawless, those who do iniquity, work against the law, and are lawless. Here specifically meaning the Law or commandments of God. In this context, the Gentile’s who are without law and walk against the truths, laws, and commandments of the Lord.
Moreover, these say; “Lord, Lord” and yet just admitting he is Lord does not allow or gain entrance into His kingdom. Those who as this context shows, “work against the Law” and are found “lawless by their own works and life” will be found guilty.
