In this solo episode, I’m sharing a deeply personal realization that came through during the I Am Her: My Reclamation Retreat — something that completely shifted how I see myself, my nervous system, and the stories that have shaped how I move through the world.
During one of the workshops led by Jolene Dawn from Jolene Dawn Counselling, I had this huge “aha” moment around negative cognitions — those deeply rooted subconscious beliefs that we all carry. For years, I thought my biggest core belief was “I’m not enough.” But when I really slowed down and tuned in, I realized what’s actually been running the show underneath it all was “I’m not safe.”
That awareness changed everything for me.
In this episode, I’m unpacking what that means — how our subconscious beliefs are formed, how they shape the way we see ourselves and the world, and how we can start reprogramming them through awareness, compassion, and lived experience.
This conversation is for you if you’ve ever struggled with perfectionism, control, people-pleasing, or that constant need to stay one step ahead just to feel safe. I see you, and I’ve been there too.
✨ In this episode, I share:
I also share some real-life moments — like how I found myself in the woods debating whether I was more scared of a bear or two guys walking behind me 😅 — and how those moments become opportunities to rewrite the story in real time.
This one’s about coming home to your body, trusting yourself again, and realizing that safety isn’t something we earn — it’s something we remember.
If this episode lands for you, I’d love to hear what your biggest takeaway was or what core belief you’re working through.
