After breaking the record for the most successful IWGP Heavyweight Championship defences, Hiroshi Tanahashi was surprised at the ego on display from Kazuchika Okada who, having just beaten YOSHI-HASHI in an unimpressive return match, challenged him for a title match. Tanahashi accepted the challenge, but warned Okada that he was biting off more than he could chew.
