Ecclesiastes 1:1-2, 2:18-26

The book of Ecclesiastes asks the big question, “what is the meaning of life?” There are a hundred answers to that question but only one answer that satisfies, only one answer that imparts true satisfaction and meaning. King Solomon, having investigated everything “under the sun” and having possessed just about everything a person could ever dream of, looks at it all and says, “It’s all meaningless.” His conclusion: only by fearing the Lord and having faith in him can you receive meaning, enjoyment, and satisfaction in life.
