The Bible tells us in Colossians 1:13 that God “rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of His beloved Son.” That’s not just poetic language. It’s a rescue story. Through Jesus Christ, we are delivered from darkness and brought into the light of God’s kingdom. Jesus paid the penalty for our sins and secured our freedom. Darkness no longer has hold over us that have placed our trust in Jesus and Him alone. But there are many who don’t yet the hope and forgiveness that Jesus offers. And God calls us to share this Good News with others who need the very Light of life that we have found. Today, thank God for what He has done in your life, and pray for opportunities to tell others about Jesus and what He has done.
