As a society we take great pride in our personal rites, our individual dreams, and our ability to accomplish things on our own. This week we will be reminded that we have indeed been rescued from a life that is predominately concerned with ME into a life that is now concerned for the WE. The WE is the body of Christ on earth that we have been baptized into through the grace and love of Jesus. We have been rescued from a self-serving existence to a life of serving others and looking out for the needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ.
