Rescuers went the extra mile to rescue a couple in their 60s who became trapped on Aoraki, Mount Cook National Park. The Australian couple sent out an alert using a personal locator beacon at Ball Pass on Wednesday afternoon after becoming exhausted. But the weather was rough, so rescuers spent the night on the mountain with the couple, before they were lifted off yesterday.
