Discussing the concepts of imprecision and uncertainty as they relate to information and modeling. They argue that information is inherently imprecise and uncertain, and that this is often overlooked when interpreting information as facts. The author proposes an approach to modeling known as Anchor Modeling which accounts for these inherent imprecisions through the use of crisp imprecise values and assertions. Anchor Modeling recognizes the subjectivity and contextuality of certainty and emphasizes the importance of critical thinking when evaluating information.
