Research - Dennison Interview

Listen Later

Dr. Bryan Dennison ([email protected]), owner and operator of Summit Physical Therapy (a private physical therapy practice located in Snow Creek Athletic Club in Mammoth Lakes, CA) and affiliate faculty member for Regis University, is interviewed by Becca Catlin about a pre-conference course he gave at the 2018 AAOMPT Conference. The title of the course was, “Therapeutic Exercise Prescription In Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Practice: What Happens After Manual Therapy.” This episode contains information that should be interesting for musculoskeletal providers interested in learning more about the clinical reasoning associated with expert prescription of therapeutic exercise and how it intersects with manual therapy. Also, please find the following links discussed during the episode: Lauersen et al 2014Lauersen et al 2018de Campos et al 2018National Strength and Conditioning Associations (NSCA), and the NSCA Store. Additionally, Dr. Dennison recommends checking out a related infographic, which involves a concise summary of the evidence behind resistance training and a quick overview of exercise prescription parameters.
