If you're up to date on Gyn/Gyn Onc literature, then you already know of Dr. Laura Chambers!
I first heard of Dr. Chambers through the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists and the multiple papers she has published. She has authored/coauthored over 76 articles (that I noted on pubmed - likely more!). And one thing I love about this is that she is an Osteopathic doctor, which is a minority in our field and in research experience.
Med school: Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine
Residency: Cleveland Clinic
Fellowship: Cleveland Clinic
Currently: Assistant Professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at The Ohio State University
This is a great episode for anyone interested in pursing research and looking for guidance on how to start - as a student resident or even new attending! Also, anyone who is a DO and wanting some insight on becoming a subspecialist. Also, anyone interested in Gyn onc research especially related to gut metabolism - including patients!
It is clear from this podcast that Dr. Chambers is an amazing human. I know you will enjoy this and learn SO much from her as I did.
