In this episode, we speak to Bryan Jackson: a director, writer, founder, and educator. He has directed films such as
Haircut, Softly, Little Taiko Boy, and most recently,
Cream. These films take a unique approach by drawing upon Jackson's work in LGBTQ+ activism and background in theater and experimental film. His dedication to fostering community is shown in his work as co-founder of DigiFilm and founder of the International Documentary Program at the University of California, Irvine.
During the interview, Bryan shares transformative stories from his college years, what led him to become an independent filmmaker, and experiences from his time working internationally.
We hope you enjoy this conversation with Bryan just as much as we did!
