Residential burning to remove branches, weeds and other organic debris or green waste is allowed through the end of May with the appropriate permit, which can be obtained through the Box Elder County Fire Marshal’s office by calling 435-734-3345. Burn permits are issued on Fridays for burning on Saturdays. Burning is not allowed on Sundays. Residential burn permits does not include garbage, tires, construction materials, cardboard and other trash. Residents are also reminded to keep weeds trimmed as warmer weather approaches to help reduce fire danger.
