Residents pack USU Artemis launch party

It was standing room only last Wednesday at Utah State University’s Tremonton campus for a watch party of the first manned launch of NASA’s Artemis missions. Each of the USU building’s seven classrooms displayed the launch on screens as space exploration enthusiasts and employees of Northrup Grumman’s Promontory facility, and their families, filled the building. Northrup Grumman produces the solid fuel rocket boosters that help power NASA’s Space Launch System into orbit, as well as the launch abort motor that would carry the Orion spacecraft safely away from the SLS rocket in the event something went wrong during launch.
