Reimagine Justice

Resilience in the Classroom: COVID and College Life

Listen Later

Three graduates of the San Francisco State University Criminal Justice Program share what it really took to keep going during COVID-19. Joe Lagano, Sagrario Encarnacion Jimenez, and Donovan Castro Rosas speak about juggling full class loads while managing home responsibilities, work demands, and the loss of normal social connection. They all found found their own way to adapt as health restrictions and uncertainty kept changing, from building new routines to staying connected and focused in a virtual world.

In this episode, Jim Dudley and Mimi Glumac, explore the sudden shift from in-person instruction to online learning and what students had to do to stay on track. Through it all, one theme stands out clearly across every story: resilience.
