Resilient Dessert Flower: Saloua Ibaline

Listen Later

I had a conversation with author and digital nomad, Saloua Ibaline. She told me about her and her mother’s immigration to Belgium from Morocco, that separated her from her siblings, being raised by a resilient but strict Muslim single mom whom she rebelled against, living with a foster family in her preteen years, which fed to her confusion between the Moroccon culture and Western culture, the distinction of racism in Belgium VS in America, moving to America as an “au pair” and getting fired after 3 months, her adventures and misadventures in New York city, the how’s and the why’s of self-publishing her book.
