On January 21st, 2017, we met up with Kshama Sawant at Alma's Temple on Franklin Square in Washington D.C. Where just the day before had been the site of a massive riot as the protests against the inaugruation of the current president was met with brute force.

We discussed modern socialism, the role of young people in building a diverse mass movement and her strategies and goals as we were moving into the Trump era.
