Dad believed in God but didn’t believe in religion. I remember the day I asked him about it. We we on top of a mountain taking a break on our trail ride. I asked if he believed in God and he said yes. Then I asked why we didn’t go to church. He said, “look around. Look at where we are. We’re in church.”

I tried reading the whole Bible but couldn’t get past the guys living 800 years or past the question of where Adam and Eve’s kids found wives if everybody came from Adam and Eve. Having said that, I believe the Bible could be a great instrument for good if there weren’t so many people using it as a weapon against others.
