Respond Podcast Episode 1 - “A Universe Setup for Life”
Presenter: Stuart Gray, @stuhgray
1. We can get to know what God is like by studying nature
2. The Universe is full of evidence it’s not the result of a random unguided process – but set up for life
3. Chance does not have the metaphysical resources to:
cause life or
cause our environment which is setup for life. For example:
Oxygen is a safe, diatomic molecule
We have just enough for life to exist
4. Our solar system is a perfectly situated habitat for us to do science on planet earth
5. The “coincidences” for life go on and on in nature – surely this requires some sort of explanation
6. Detectives discover the perpetrator indirectly using the evidence they can see
Our senses allow us to observe the existence of the God thru nature
Our view of God thru nature is indirect, like the Detective
