Just as we have passions for the world or our flesh to have its own way, the Holy Spirit who dwells within us has a holy passion to have His way in our lives. The Holy Spirit is jealous for our attention. As we humble ourselves and allow Him to reign in us, we find victory over our own desires and our passion for having our own way.
