Rest Within — Rest for the Work — Yoked with Jesus Rest for the soul is not found in physical rest... it's found in a Person and His gentle command to trust and follow His lead. His rest is not a rest from the work of God, it's a rest in the work for Him. God's sweet rest is also nontransferable. Honestly, if I could give those I love, lead and care for, a portion of my rest, I would, but I can't transfer any of it. The rest He's given me is not transferable, not even an ounce of it. Jesus rest in and for the work is personal. He can transfer His rest, but for this to happen, we must personally respond to His imperatives to "intentionally COME unto Him... intentionally pick up and TAKE His yoke and intentionally LEARN from Him."
