John 6:1–15 holds the only miracle recorded in all four Gospels, and it raises a question worth considering: is it possible to be in the presence of Jesus and still fundamentally misunderstand who he is?
This message works through the feeding of the five thousand, identifying three patterns of misunderstanding that show up in the crowd, and in us, and then drawing out what the miracle itself reveals: that Jesus is the bread of life, both needed for every stage of the Christian life and fully sufficient for every person who comes to him.
This week continues our series walking verse by verse through the gospel of John at Restoration Community Church in Mandeville, Louisiana.
