John 6:1–15 holds the only miracle recorded in all four Gospels, and it raises a question worth considering: is it possible to be in the presence of Jesus and still fundamentally misunderstand who he is?

This message works through the feeding of the five thousand, identifying three patterns of misunderstanding that show up in the crowd, and in us, and then drawing out what the miracle itself reveals: that Jesus is the bread of life, both needed for every stage of the Christian life and fully sufficient for every person who comes to him.

John 5:30–47 records Jesus responding to the religious leaders questioning him with something unexpected: not a demand for blind trust, but an invitation to examine the evidence. He points to four witnesses that testify to who he is, including the works the Father gave him to do and the Scriptures his hearers claimed to love. This week's message walks through those witnesses, looks at the historical grounds for the resurrection, and closes with a question the passage presses on everyone: where are you actually looking for life, and how does Jesus our greatest source for hope?

John 5:25–29 holds together two "hours": life available now through faith in Jesus, and a future resurrection when every person will stand before him. Both shape how we live today. This message works through three questions every person is already answering, whether they know it or not: where they look for justification, where they find meaning, and what they're trusting for the future. The passage moves from miracle to Sabbath controversy to a turning point in Jesus' ministry, and along the way it asks a question that every person has to face: where are you looking for healing, and is that thing actually able to give it to you? John 4:16–26 follows Jesus into a conversation that starts at a well and ends with a woman's life turned around. In this passage, Jesus shows what it looks like when God creates a true worshiper: he surfaces the need we're hiding from, takes our objections seriously, changes our hearts by the work of his Spirit, and reveals himself as the one who actually satisfies.
