If your flame, if your passion has been compromised in someway, you have to go back and you have to fan those flames to get that passion back up.
Restoring Self-Confidence by Rediscovering Your Why
Walk and talk with John Enslow
Well hey there, I am continuing to think about and muse and to process self-confidence. And I’ve realize something very, very amazing about it and the connection to it. That your self-confidence can be compromised … and I know I’ve said this in the last podcast, but when your confidence is been compromised because of life shifts and life situations and all of a sudden you have negative things happening and coming at you. And all of a sudden, the things that fueled you, the burn that fueled you all of a sudden is compromised. And then you don’t have that reason, the reason behind what you’re committed to and what you have determined to do. When you no longer have that reason because of negative situations. It’s almost impossible to continue on and get those tasks done. Those things that you’ve committed to once the reason has been removed, the power to do it, the motivation to do it, the fuel behind and the passion behind the tasks and the commitments. You’re literally doing it with just raw grit. And we have to do that occasionally things have to get done.
I remember that when the sheep were out in the field, and there was a big snow and I knew that they need to get into the barn and I was in the house nice and warm but I knew the snow was there and they were outside. It didn’t matter it just didn’t matter if I didn’t wanna do it. I had to do it, raw grit, I had to do it. Now the motivation was as I didn’t want them to hurt themselves. I was a shepherd. I was loving them and I didn’t want them to hurt. So I did have a reason, but I had to go with raw grit to get out there and to do it. But when your reason has been removed because of life situations, negative happenings, I t’s super difficult to keep going. It’s super difficult to stay motivated and to stay on task and to get that accomplished. And what that does is it cut at and chips at your confidence level.
So the pairing of the reason and having that reason compromised because of fear, because of insecurity, because of attack, because of any of that stuff, your left faltering and flailing around trying to get something done and it’s just very difficult. The confidence level isn’t there. So you have to know, OK, what is the burn? What is the reason I’m doing this? Why am I doing this? And if your flame, if your passion has been compromised in someway, you have to go back and you have to fan those flames to get that passion back up. And our reason has to be deeply personal. If it’s not individual and personal and it’s just vague and it’s just generic that doesn’t work. It just doesn’t work. It has to be deeply personal. It has to be connected to your heart. The reason behind what you’re committed to in order to build confidence it has to be personal, it has to be very unique and individual. Not that nobody else has that exact motivation. It’s just MY motivation. It needs to be my motivation. I need the motivation. I need the passion. I need the fuel. I need what it takes to go forward.
So if you’re finding that self-confidence is failing, and your commitments are not being accomplished that you’re not being able to perform your tasks and complete your commitments reflect on maybe it’s about your burn. Maybe it’s about the fuel, maybe it’s about the fire that is ignited to accomplish those tasks. In coaching I know that I have to know who am I coaching? Why am I coaching them? What is behind it? What am I looking to accomplish? Who is that person that I’m wanting to coach? And if I don’t have all that laid out and structured in my psyche, in my heart, in my thinking, the burn to build it to develop the coaching business falters because there’s not something that’s structurally holding it up and motivating you to go through the monotonous and the mundane and the daily grind of it.
So if you’re having a hard time if you’re having a difficult time with keeping your commitments to yourself, look at your reason, look at your motivation. Look at what is behind it and why you’re doing it. And then once you can grab hold and you can embrace that, the natural progression of that is to actually accomplish the task. It will happen when you have that in place. When you have your reason in place, then you could do the how’s. You can do…how I’m gonna do this, how am I gonna line this up? That’s easy! Once you have the burn, that’s the motivation, that’s the proportion that’s gonna send you fourth and then you can do slight navigation to get you to the goal, to get you to the completion of the task, to accomplish what you’re looking for and gain that self-confidence. But if you’re frozen, if you’re stuck, if you’re not moving and motivated because of having your reason faltering, it’s difficult to steer a boat that’s completely dead in the water.
So I hope this helped you. I know it’s helping me. It’s pretty incredible what I’m learning about self-confidence and the motivation and dealing with the visualization and that you have to have a fuel behind it all and the fruit of it. It’s all very encouraging and charging. If you would like to talk any further about your personal self-confidence, your personal reason and you want to talk that out and you wanna you want to develop that and you want to solidify the reasoning. I’m available for coaching. I’m available to coach you through finding your Divine Design. Finding your destiny. Finding your reason behind why you’re doing what you’re doing and what you’re looking to accomplish and how you get from where you are to where you wanna go. So thank you for listening and I hope this was helpful to you and I will see you next time.
When life’s challenges chip away at your motivation, it’s easy to lose your fire. But you can reignite it. Reconnect with your deeply personal why, refuel your passion, and restore the confidence you need to pursue your goals with purpose.
