Restys are a six-piece from Troy New York. Their four part harmonies, banjo, accordion, fiddle, guitar and hearty rhythm section bring you songs in all shapes and sizes. As long as those shapes are folk and rock.
The line up includes Matt Moorman: lead guitar, harmonica, mostly takes the lead on the vocals; Ira Marcks: slap and traditional banjo, guitar, known to belt out vocals every now and them; Maura Bress: aficionado of the accordion, alto sax, mandolin; Marc Coudert: smoothes out the rhythm with the bass; Misha Rabinovich: keeps the beat solid on the percussion
The recording of this episode took place at Proctors Robb Alley in Schenectady. It was a nice relaxed night with a moderate crowd. This was the largest band we've recorded on the road and the over all sound came out great.
