On the day he arose from the dead Jesus of Nazareth the Messiah appear on three different occasions. His second appearance was to the two disciples who were walking back from from Jerusalem to the village of Emmaus. He join them but their eyes were prevented from recognizing them so he could show them his death and resurrection in the revelation God had given in the Law, the Psalms and the Prophets.
