BestSecret opens new offices in Paris and Milan, strengthening its international partner network of fashion brands. With the new locations, the German e-commerce player wants to gain international fashion brands, luxury labels and brands in the affordable luxury segment.
The winner of the European Grand Prix, a competition for international start-ups bringing innovative and sustainable products to market, has now been announced by Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW). In this year's 15th edition, the Westfield Grand Prix was expanded to France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany and Austria. Airpaq was selected from the winners of each national Westfield Grand Prix competition, which also included Biicou from France, Known Source from the United Kingdom and PJ.Lobster from Spain.
The startups focused on sustainability and innovation, in line with the competition organizer's Better Places sustainability roadmap.
Paris-based womenswear label Sézane is accelerating its retail expansion, opening a series of new addresses. This fall, the label, founded in 2013 by Morgane Sézalory, has stores in France, as well as a pop-up in Hamburg.
Sézane currently operates five stores in Paris and is also available at Le Bon Marché department store. Sézane has stores in the French cities of Bordeaux, Aix-en-Provence and Lille, where it has set up a space for its sister label Octobre Editions, which also has a store in Paris on Rue Saint Fiacre and a concession at Le Bon Marché.
After testing the market with pop-up stores in Amsterdam, Brussels and Vienna, Sézane is continuing its international expansion. On October 6, the company opened its first temporary address in Germany in Hamburg. The store will remain open until February 3, 2024.
Poundland confirms plans to open or relocate 75 stores by end of December 2023
Poundland is part of the Pepco Group, which operates more than 4,000 stores in 21 countries, including the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Spain and the CEE region, and employs 43,000 people.
This includes the acquisition of up to 71 former Wilko stores. All new Poundland stores will offer groceries and household goods, including Pepco apparel. More than 500 former Wilko employees have been offered employment.
Poundland opened its first store in 1990 in Burton-upon-Trent. Since then, the company has built a network of more than 850 stores in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. It currently employs around 18,000 staff, serving up to seven million customers a week. The product range includes top brands as well as high-quality private label products. In the United Kingdom, the clothing is also offered in the 500 largest stores. The acquisition of Poundshop.com in spring 2022 accelerated plans to offer the range online, and a few months later the online store poundland.co.uk was successfully launched nationwide.
A few days ago, the sixth store in the Benelux was opened in the heart of Luxembourg, at 22 Grand Rue.
As with the example of the stores in London (Tate Modern) or Paris (Louvre), Uniqlo wanted to make art accessible to everyone and therefore collaborates in Luxembourg with MUDAM, the Musée d'Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean.
There is also a Re.Uniqlo studio where customers can repair, redesign or recycle their LifeWear items. The collection includes track pants, leggings, long-sleeved shirts, tank tops, sports bras, a hoodie and a bodysuit. Prints reminiscent of Greek architecture give the collection a modern look. Mesh styles enhance activewear and are intended to guarantee breathability and elegance during every exercise. The collection is now available in all European Puma online shops and all Puma full-price stores in Europe and China. The parts are priced between 44.95 euros and 64.95 euros.

As part of the partnership, SKIMS will have a presence at NBA events, on the court during broadcasts and on NBA social and digital platforms.
