In this video, we take a hard look at the popular but deeply flawed framework known as the threefold use of the law. While many Christians adopt this view in an attempt to make sense of how the Mosaic law applies today, we expose how it creates confusion, invites contradiction, and ultimately opens the door to theonomy. By tracing the logic of the framework to its natural end, we show how slicing up the law into moral, ceremonial, and civil categories leads to either legal inconsistency or a rebuilt Israelite state. But we don’t stop at critique—we also point to a better, more biblical way to understand the Mosaic law in light of Christ’s fulfillment.
