When closing in on retirement, we all want to make sure that we can live on the amount of money that we have saved/invested at that time. One of the biggest determining factors in not outliving your money is the idea of the withdrawal rate. We have to be reasonable with the percentage of our total assets that we choose to live off of in retirement. Too much, and your nest egg could start moving in the wrong direction, and it may become harder to make your money last for the long haul.
