Another Super Robot TV series from Tatsunoko, Ian and Craig turn their attention to the oddity that is 1980's Golden Warrior Gold Lightan.

Taking a look at the 'Powered Suit' sub-genre of mecha anime for the first time, Ian and Craig review Tatsunoko Production's seminal 1975 TV series Tekkaman - The Space Knight.

Go Nagai was a powerhouse of 70's Super Robot anime and in this episode Ian and Craig review his rather unique 1975 TV show Steel Jeeg.

Side stepping into the often over looked and easily dismissed Super Deformed sub-genre of Mecha anime, Ian and Craig take a look at the show that truly got the ball rolling with a review of the 1988 TV series Spirit Hero Wataru.

For 2021 Ian and Craig got their act together and are taking part in Mecha March! This is going to be a cross platform celebration of mecha anime under the umbrella of Retro Mecha Anime World with companion pieces on Retro Anime Podcast and Anime Heads Retro World. The theme for this year is OVAs and for this podcast it's the Class of 1987 with reviews of Relic Armor Legaciam, Demon Frontier Legend Le Deus and Good Morning Althea.

Ian & Craig take a look at one of the lesser known Super Robot shows that appeared in the late 70's with a review of 1978 TV series Cosmic Devil Daikengo.

In the second part of their Macross retrospective Ian and Craig take a look at the some of the OVA series with reviews of Macross II: Lovers Again, Macross Plus (including Movie) and Macross Zero.

During the OVA boom of the mid 80's a number of creators came to prominence, one of those was Toshihiro 'Toshiki' Hirano who was busy directing a string of sci-fi and mecha anime and Ian & Craig focus on a particular period in the late 80's with reviews of Dangaioh, Demon of Steel and Zeorymer.
