When Sam Raimi's Spider-Man came out in 2002, it was a pop cultural phenomenon in and of itself, so expectations for Spider-Man 2 were extremely high two years later. Even so, I remember being wholly unprepared for the experience I had watching this sequel piece, featuring Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus. I recently did a re-watch of Spider-Man 2 to see how it holds up in this era of frequent and high-budget superhero films, and go in depth in this episode of The Web Line.
