Synopsis

Lydia Castane is a young woman grappling with destiny and fate. When she comes across a compelling man, she learns there’s so much more to him, and her than she realized. Yet everything he does goes against her supposed destiny. Who is Lydia Castane? Despite warnings from various people, she continues to see Friedrich von Nacht and finds herself mentored under his wing. She begins to realize he doesn't entirely follow his philosophy, and begins to question him. This leads to a culmination of betrayal and death for many that tried to warn and destroy her.

Production Notes

von Nacht was cast in April of 2026, shortly after the conclusion of our first show, Alice in Wonderland. We met for our first rehearsal at the CML: Canal Winchester branch. After that, we’ve spent many nights rehearsing, blocking, and choreographing the show.

We met up at a park in 60 degree cold to practice combat for a few hours. Meanwhile, RRT board members took pictures of rehearsal and supported the cast from behind the scenes.

After blocking and choreographing the show, we proceeded to run the show over and over again, adding in fight choreo and blood. Now, we’re here and ready to give an incredible performance!

Synopsis

Alice is a young girl who, upon being bored one day, follows a rabbit down a hole to a magical place known as Wonderland. While journeying through Wonderland, she meets a Cheshire-Cat that mentions she should attempt to go to find “Everything” in the Garden. Curious (and curiouser), Alice begins a journey through Wonderland in search of “Everything”.

Production Notes

Alice in Wonderland was cast in January of 2026. The show saw a Retrospection record number of auditions. Upon casting, the new group of characters met for rehearsals at the Pickerington Public Library. Here, we went over the script and introduced ourselves.

The next few rehearsals were held online. We went over characters, character voices, and blocking for each scene. Then, we got together and ran Act 1.

After running Act 1, we met online again for Act 2. We completed the rehearsal arc earlier than previous RRT shows, and had two rehearsals to focus on running the show and Foley. Now, we’re here and ready to give an incredible performance!
