Michael James is a 3rd generation entrepreneur. He is an HBCU graduate, class of 93 Morehouse and served 2-Years in Kenya as a small business advisor for Peace Corp. After pursueing his MBA, he was led into the world of beauty care. Mike started his career in Brand Management from business school and began working on Mitchum Deodorant, Almay & Colorstay at Revlon. He later moved to L’Oreal….leading two of their salon brands: Mizani & Biolage. During those 8+ years the idea of developing products for men like himself grew brighter and he set out to develop a grooming & lifestyle brand. Inspired by his grandfather, Frederick Benjamin Schumpert, who was from a generation of men who took pride in their daily appearance and can always be found in a tie, top hat and suit.
