Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams have returned to Earth after a significantly extended nine-month mission in space. Their journey back in a SpaceX capsule concluded with a splashdown off the Florida coast. Initially scheduled for a short eight-day test flight on Boeing's Starliner, their mission was prolonged due to technical issues with that spacecraft. Subsequently, they transferred to the International Space Station via a SpaceX flight and utilized another SpaceX capsule for their eventual return, having conducted numerous experiments and spacewalks during their extended stay. Upon arrival, they were greeted and will now undergo medical evaluations and reunite with their families
