In Genesis 37:18–30, Joseph’s brothers plot to kill him. Reuben, the oldest, wants to do the right thing—but without facing the conflict head-on. Instead of confronting his brothers, he tries to quietly manipulate the situation. The result? Joseph is sold into slavery.
