The Temptation in the Wilderness was more of an accreditation than a confrontation: I am a Child of God

not everyone is ready for a conversation about Jesus and that's okay!

Jesus isn’t asking us to add anything to our lives but to alter how we go about our lives.

Are we motivated to Go?

The early church believed Christ had risen and the restoration of all things had begun. Having an eternal perspective impacts how we use our money and possessions.

Jesus says we cannot serve God and put our ultimate trust in money.

But considering this past week... that's hard to do?

Prophets came to call people back to God because they might have loved to worship God all weekend but could care less about the poor Monday-Friday.

Money is a means to an end and not the end we get to by any means.

Money is a tool we have to help us fulfill our purpose: To be kingdom of Priests who are trusting and generous.

In the economy of empire you're either consumed by fear or greed.

As God's treasured people we are characterized by Trust and Generosity.

Translations matter because the words chosen really tell the story or fail to when it comes to the Nativity.
