ReUpped: Why Social Media Literacy SHOULD be a Gen Ed Requirement + Healthy Habits To Get Into

Listen Later

Jessie is solo (in her love life, but also for this episode of AB!) today to reshare, and ReUp, a thought-provoking podcast she listened to the other day. 💡 NPR's Hidden Brain podcast made some really strong points as to why anxiety and depression is seemingly on the rise in the US, and how additions to things that give us hits of happiness are actually, in the longer-term, making us unhappy.

Jessie stands tall on her soapbox for 18 minutes while she explains and ponders psychiatrist Anna Lembke's "plenty paradox" and, perhaps too passionately, shares why "Social Media Literacy" should be a general education requirement for all students growing up with technology.

All is well and "defogged" on this episode of Authentically Basic.
