•vs 7-9 - foundational verses for a proper understanding of the world.

•vs 10A - NOW - when Satan was cast down God’s kingdom had come.

•vs 10B - 3 A’s - Satan is our Adversary who makes Accusation for our Agreement.

•1) Adversary - he stands against everything that God stands for.

•2) Accusation - “a charge or claim that someone has done something illegal or wrong.”

•Two types of accusations:

•a: He accuses us about our own sin so we stay wrapped up in guilt.

•b: He sends accusations in our minds about others so we get bitter toward them.

•3) Agreement - the only way Satan wins is for us to “side with him.”

•Zechariah 3:1-4 - Joshua’s clothes were dirty, this was true.

•But God rejected Satan's accusations & cleansed Joshua from his filth.

•To win the battle we must:

•a: REJECT Satan's accusation (vs 2).

•b: RECEIVE God's cleansing (vs 4) - or claim cleansing for the other person.

•vs 11 - 3-fold plan for victory over Satan:

•1) Salvation, 2) Salvation lived out, 3) Whatever the cost attitude.

•vs 12 - Satan declares war on us but his power is limited.
