It’s easy to feel like the end is coming for God’s church. There seem to be so many things stacked up against Christianity: The devil. Anti-Christian government. False teachers. Militant Islam. The apathy in our own sinful hearts. We see them all. Christianity is about to die, right? That’s impossible! True Christianity will never end. Because Jesus Christ has promised that his eternal gospel will continue to be preached to every nation, tribe, people, and language (Revelation 14:6-7). Until Jesus comes again, God will make sure there are pastors preaching that we are saved by faith alone, by grace alone, by Scripture alone. No one can silence the Word of God. I hope you can read or watch this Lutheran Reformation Day sermon: “The Eternal Gospel.” Jesus loves you!
