The events in this passage are predicted by several old testament prophets including Daniel. The events predicted is what Daniel called the 70th week. When Daniel predicted the 70 weeks we can look backward from 2018 and find 69 of those 70 weeks fulfilled. The great tribulation according to prophets like Daniel and Joel, will be the worst time this earth has ever seen. Jesus said it will be a time that no nation has ever seen. It’ll last three and a half years. It will be sure, it will be literal, and it is coming.
