Jesus presents himself as the high priest to John. The high priest was the one who went into the Holy of Holies for his sins and the sins of the children of Israel. It was out of great dedication and love that he performed his office. Jesus is demonstrating his love toward John and the church:

• White: represents the purity of Jesus's love
• Eyes as fire:represents Jesus's passion for his people
• Feet like fine brass: represents His love is secure.

We struggle with God's love because we have trust issues
God is able to help us overcome those issues no matter how deep and set us free to love.
