Revelation 1 is an entirely new depiction of Christ than we last saw Him. Jesus meek and mild? Hanging on the Cross despised and forsaken? No, Here is Jesus who overcame and conquered death and hell for all the Redeemed Ones of God. Here is Christ terrifying and awe-inspiring, declaring that He is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. The One who was, and is, and is to come, who not only controls our destiny but is the only One, God Almighty, who has absolute power to leads us into a glorious future of worship and purpose in His Kingdom.
