Today we are talking about the greatest shakeup in the Christian Church since Paul took a tumble off his horse on the way to Damascus! We're talking about the Protestant Reformation and some of the denominations that arose out of that incredible series of events. We're going to meet a few of our early heroes who got the ball rolling - and THE hero - the OG himself - Martin Luther! We take a look at his namesake denomination - the Lutherans - and another that rode in on his coattails - under some very suspicious circumstances, I might add - the Anglicans. And - for some bonus content - we discuss Martin Luther's curious fascination with poop and flatulence. We ask the question. Did he really receive the inspiration of Sola Fide while sitting on the crapper? Also, a word of caution. We do use the Biblical word for donkey numerous times in this episode!
