In this episode we discuss Stoic Philosophers Marcus Aurelius and Seneca the Younger. By contrasting principals with their opposites, we create a kind of ‘reverse’ Stoicism, which offers insight into the nature of Stoicism. Opposites rarely have and exact correlation, especially with complex philosophies, therefore, contrast can be a mechanism to help reveal complexity. We discuss the book Meditations by Aurelius and On The Shortness of Life by Seneca and reveal why Stoicism is as relevant today as it was in it’s heyday.
