The life of a teacher is a thankless job, the only job perhaps more so is that of a substitute teacher. When Henry Barthe joins an intercity school for a month to fill in as an english teacher, he brings a different perspective to the classroom, mix this with helping a prostitute young teenager, and dealing with the mental decline of his grandpa and you start to feel the weight of the world crash around him. A stellar performance from Adrien Brody is the real praise of this film along with a documentary style to it creates a feeling of being right there with them, ultimately making you question, "do you have any feelings?"
