In this Episode of the Gospel of Malcolm X Podcast we review the Hulu Special called (X)onerated . This special details the exoneration of Norman 3x Butler and Thomas 15x Johnson of their roles in the Assassination of Malcolm X . We have talked about Norman and Thomas on previous episodes of The Gospel of Malcolm X podcast and how these men are not "innocent." At this time Norman Butler is a 83 year old man who does not tell his full story nor does he hold himself responsible for the years that he terrorized the Black Community in Harlem and for the years that he terrorized his fellow muslim brothers , whipping asses and "breaking bones" when newspaper sales quotas were not met. We discuss Butlers and Johnsons role in the shooting of Benjamin Brown a month before the Assassination of Malcolm X. We also discuss why Norman and Thomas would have been targeted in the first place which is information which was left out of the film.
