Thus seven men who together represented one quarter of the wealth (of the entire world) set out to solve their dilemma and save and grow their fortune. They traveled to Jekyll Island and devised a scheme designed to enrich themselves and impoverish the country to ensure their only product would sell like hotcakes. And they cast the government as the patsy who would enforce their cartel members to play fairly with each other while together they devoured their competition.
