Revisiting The Police's Synchronicity - Drummers' Hang Ep. 10

Listen Later

In Episode 10, K-Bo and Duke welcome Amy to the podcast. Amy is a trained and extremely talented recording and performing vocalist and lead singer for several bands throughout New Jersey. K-Bo, Duke, and Amy focus on the classic Police album "Synchronicity," but also discuss a vast array of not-necessarily-related topics including: How real are reality TV shows? The conundrum of the National Anthem as it relates to singers and stadiums/arenas; The value of lyrics to a song; and ultimately, the making and result of The Police's fifth, and final studio album "Synchronicity", which included the tracks
"Every Breath You Take"
"Wrapped Around Your Finger"
"King of Pain" and
"Synchronicity II"
On the original vinyl version of the album, the song 'Murder By Numbers' was not included. It was only available on the cassette release, and then the CD release (once CDs eventually became a 'thing'). This track has an extremely interesting story behind it, as you will hear in the discussions.
