The Donhowes shared with the congregation their dedicated decades of ministry in the country of Bolivia. Mainly their God-directed focus was with children covering every state in the South American country. The sermon on prayer greatly inspired us to not only read the Word of God, which is a given, but also give our all to prayer in a secret and intimate way, conversing with our God. Mat 6:6 "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. Jesus had to have personal time for prayer. Mrk 1:35 "And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed." Never give up while praying for someone or something, ask, seek, and knock. Luk 11:9-10 "And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." There is a cost for your desired prayer life to be effective for His service. Commitment for consistent time and focus is always being interrupted by random thoughts and evil attacks. Psa 126:5-6 "They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him."
